AladdinDAO Airdrop Season 1: Proposal Summary

AladdinDAO is thrilled to announce that Airdrop season 1, which opened the floodgate on 06/08/2021, has received tremendous support from the DeFi community. TLDR:

• 153 proposals submitted
• 45 out of the 153 proposals are valid
• 13 out of the 45 are rekt Ethereum Mainnet projects

Next Steps:

• We will stop accepting proposals on 06/11/2021 9PM EST（join our Discord to submit any last minute proposal)
• Voting periods start on 06/11/2021 9PM EST and end on 06/14/2021 9PM EST ( you don’t need $ALD token to vote)
• Winning projects will get airdropped $ALD tokens within one week after voting period.

If your proposal does not appear in the list below, it is classified as an invalid proposal. Invalid proposals do not meet our selection requirements. For example, many proposals had incomplete event description or do not use the correct block time.

AladdinDAO volunteers either modified the proposal or reject them.

Reason: On 16 June 2016, the attacker managed to retrieve approximately 3.6 million Ether from the DAO fund abusing a loophole, which is known as a “recursive call exploit”.

Reason: The price plummeted by 99% within 24 hours, resulting in the “permanent destruction” of the governance contract. Curve tokens worth 750,000 USD are locked and cannot be used.

Reason: According to bluekirbyfi twitter messages, Yearn Finance founder Andre Cronje, launched the game project Eminence (EMN) encountered a “Flash Loan” attack.

Reason: Data on the chain shows that a large amount of funds in the Harvest Finance fund pool were transferred, and about 24 million US dollars were successfully cashed out through multiple contract transactions, most of which were cashed out through renBTC. The initial ETH source used by the hacker this time was the Ethereum anonymous transfer platform Tornado.cash.

Reason: The DeFi protocol Pickle Finance lost nearly $20 million in DAI in a loophole. The exploit involves Pickle Finance’s DAI pJar product, which uses the Compound protocol to reap revenue through DAI deposits.

Event: Flash Loan Attack

Reason: Warp Finance suffered a flash loan attack and about 8 million US dollars were stolen. In addition, Warp Finance officials also tweeted that they are investigating illegal stablecoin loans that were lent in the last hour.

Project name: Cover Protocol
Event: Flash Loan Attack
Time: 2020–12–28
Estimated total number of airdrop: To be verified
Reason: Due to a loophole in the award contract, the coverage agreement lost $3 million. Conversion, the data on the chain shows that attackers (0xf05Ca…943DF) have used the cover contract to issue a total of about 10,000 COVER, and have replaced them with assets such as WBTC and DAI. The attacker (address label Grap Finance: Deployer) who made a profit of 3 million US dollars by issuing additional COVER returned 4350 ETH to the address labelled YieldFarming.insure: Deployer. CoverProtocol officially tweeted announcing that it will provide a new COVER token based on the snapshot before the breakthrough was repeated. The 4350 ETH returned by the attacker will also be returned to LP token holders through snapshot processing.

Reason: The agent of the DeFi platform Furucombo was attacked and the amount stolen amounted to more than 15 million U.S. dollars. Later, Furucombo stated that it would issue 5 million iouCOMBO tokens to affected users.

Project name: rari.capital
Event: An attacker stole approximately 2600 ETH, around $10m USD at the time of hack. These funds were extracted from Rari Capital’s Ethereum Pool. This loss equates to 60% of all users’ funds in the Rari Capital Ethereum Pool. I am both a depositer in the pool and the a holder of $RGT

Reason: Rari.capital is run by a group of youn developers who have done everything they can to repay funds to the users that lost out from this hack. They started with giving up the Dev fund of ~$2M. The community has also rallied strongly and come up with a proposal for making up for the lost funds.
I think the $RGT community (DAO) has shown great initiative and they would be a great addition to this DAO
